Denise Freeman became an EMT in 1989, a Paramedic in 1996 and has been an American Heart Association Instructor for 15+ years. As an EMT or Paramedic she has worked on an ambulance, in the Fire Department, in the Emergency Department of the local hospital and in a correctional institute.
Denise has been a career firefighter for 23 years (and counting). She started as a Firefighter, progressed to Driver Engineer, Lieutenant, Captain and is currently a Battalion Chief with her department. She is currently enrolled in the Fire Science program at West Georgia Technical College
Denise strives for that "Ah-ha moment" of understanding when people finally grasp a concept that had eluded them. She loves to teach and often uses humor in her classes.
Angie Beavers was the first female to ride in an ambulance as a paramedic in Coweta County, Georgia (1980). Angie spent many years on the ambulance, then worked in private practice for a local physician and as part of the staff of an urgent care center. After that, she served in the Emergency Department of a local hospital and has worked in a correctional institute.
Angie is also a practicing dental hygienist. She graduated from West Central Technical College in 2003.
Angie was an American Heart Association Instructor during the 1980's. When her daughter was born, Angie decided to devoted more time to her family. Fortunately for us, Angie is returning to the teaching scene. You will love her low key personal approach to teaching.
